Transparency is key! Holistic Vida Therapy believes that mental health services is a human right that should be accessible to everyone. We accept most insurances to help with the cost associated with services. We are in network with Aetna, BCBS, BCN, McLaren Health, Meridian Health & Blue Cross Complete. We also pride ourselves in providing reduced therapy services to those in need based on not having access to insurance, family size and/or income. For further questions, feel free to contact us directly at info@holisticvidatherapy.com or through our “Contact” page.

  • The intake process is one of the most defining moments of the therapist and client relationship. During an intake, I focus on building rapport, gathering information, relating to your needs as well as validating your experiences.

  • Once we start a therapy journey together, our follow up sessions dive deeper into your presenting concerns. Additionally, I will help you create a plan to successfully meet your goals.

  • I offer supervision in accordance to the state of Michigan’s LLMFT license guidelines. These guidelines include the following:

At least half of these hours must be completed with families, couples, or other subsystems of families physically present in the therapy room.

At least one fifth of these hours must be under supervision in which no more than one other supervisee is present.

The remaining hours may be done under group supervision with no more than six supervisees present.

  • One of the greatest advantages of self-pay is that you are not restricted to a certain group of providers. This opens up your options and increases your chances of finding a therapist with whom you feel the most comfortable.

Another advantage of self-pay is that your therapist is not required to disclose any information about you or your treatment to your insurance provider (or to anyone else) unless required by law.

With self-pay, your therapist can get to know you before developing a diagnosis and treatment plan. Your plan will not be limited to a certain set of covered or not covered diagnoses.

You are able to see a therapist for as many sessions as you and your therapist deem necessary for achieving your therapeutic goals.

Paying “out of pocket” can be a motivator to immerse yourself in the process and take control of your mental health.
