Nora Abbou M.A., LMFT

(She/Her/Hers)

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been practicing since 2015. San Diego is my current home, but I grew up in Michigan, where I still visit frequently. I love learning about others and supporting them in overcoming fears and challenges with mental health, relationships, and life stressors. I'm passionate about working with couples in strengthening relationships and improving communication, as well as individuals struggling with mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem and codependency, and general life dilemmas. I also have extensive experience working with women struggling with eating disorders and supporting them and their families in finding hope in recovery. My pride and privilege as a Middle Eastern American have taught me humility and relatability with cultural stigmas around mental health. This helped spark courage in navigating non-traditional grounds, enhancing my ability to promote the same courage in clients. My faith has also been integral in my own journey and development, and I enjoy utilizing spirituality with clients to build strength and promote healing.
